Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Because today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day I'm including a recipe for my favorite chocolate chip cookies. Apparently August 4th is also Chocolate Chip Cookie Day but that makes sense. Chocolate chip cookies deserve more than one day a year. :)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
(Hey I didn't make up this title. The woman who gave it to me did. Though I have altered the recipe slightly so it might not be the best.)

Cream Together:
3 sticks butter softened (1 1/2 cups)
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar

Add:
1 tablespoon Mexican vanilla (or normal vanilla)
2 eggs

Combine and then add:
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 cups flour

Add:
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts.

Bake 10-13 minutes at 350º or until lightly golden brown.
